The thin and razor sharp Global blade allows the cook to cleanly slice through foods, preserving the integrity of the ingredient and maximizing its flavor. The majority of Global knives are ground to a straight point rather than the western style of beveling the edge. To balance their knives Global uses a hollow handle that is filled with just the right amount of sand to create the correct balance. The handle has its own unique darkened dimples for a non-slip grip. Because the knives are very light weight they reduce hand fatigue. Global knives have a smooth contour and seamless, all stainless construction that eliminates food and dirt traps. Global knifes are forged in Japan from CROMOVA 18 Stainless Steel, a blend of 18 percent chromium for good stain resistance plus molybdenum and vanadium which gives excellent edge retention.

The knife is the best one I've ever purchased. It cuts everything with the littlest effort. I love it. Only wish I could afford a few more!

This knife is amazing. It chops garlic, etc., the best I have experienced and with great ease. A friend of mine who just visited me was using it and she raved about it. She, like me, is an avid cook and knows what good cutlery is. I would recommend this product to anyone without hesitation.

All around, this knife is the most versatile tool in my kitchen. It's lightweight, well balanced, and a clean cut. Perfect for smashing garlic or transporting cut veggies to the stove. I just gave it, and a Boos block, to a friend who is building his kitchen wares. Essential.

I love the knife. Cutting vegetables has become a pleasure. It can slice through 2 1/2 inch carrots lengthwise like butter. Cutting up squash hard shells are no problem at all. The only issue I have with it is that when cutting smaller vegetable, the cut peices stick to the knife and dont fall free from the knife. I guess you are going to have this problem no matter which flat knife you purchase.

The knife is a very good one. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I have a smaller hand, and the fit is just right. It is a lighter knife to hold, and chopping is a breeze. You can tell this is a high quality knife.
