Nice price, but not cheaply made.

This set was one of the few I could find that did not include steak knives, but had a variety of knives at the same time. My only complaint is that I've already had to sharpen a couple of the knives, but--in all fairness-- they are the most frequently used knives. They have a nice weight without being too heavy and the knife block is heavy enough so it doesn't tip easily and is nicely made. I have not had a problem with spots, rust, or pits. I handwash the knives and let them air dry point down. I would recommend these to others. I gave it a five because I have no serious complaint about this product.

Great for a foodie on a budget!

I am one for nice things, even if I don't have a lot of them. These knives are really nice. I had been looking for a set of knives for a while, ones that were of good quality and that would last a long time. And I found them! I bought the smaller set because of my small living space and I cook for one. I love the weight of the knives and the thickness of the blades, you could tell someone put a lot of thought into the design. The only thing that I didn't pay attention to before I bought them was that the handles must be glued together and not riveted. But this does not seem to effect the quality, so far at least. Love them!

Can't Live Without My Knives!

I bought these knive at Kohls in my state the beginning of this year. I fell in love with them! Three months later, I saw rust on one of the blades and returned them for an exchange. THEY DID NOT HAVE THEM!! I was miserable, and found Paula Deen's website, where I found my knives again!! They're stylish, practical, and most of all SHARP!! I threw out all of my old knives.

I enjoy these knife set, alot. I'm going to get my daugther a set for Christmas. Thank you, Diane

Great Value

Got these for Mom for Mother's Day to replac a 40 year old set of Chicago Cutlery...these are a great value and well made, very substantial and fits well in your hand. A very good value for the money !!
