My wife and I both like the casserole very much. Our only complaint is that the bottom is much thinner than other items in the Professional-Hard anodized family, so that foods scorch a little easier when doing stovetop work, but it's still a very good pan.

Good deal for the price

It's not really a casserole as the metal is too thin, but it makes a great pasta pot, or soup pot if it's a watery soup. I made a big batch of lentil soup and it was great.

It's nice to have something that's lighter than a dutch oven with this large capacity. It's much easier to clean than the heavy cast iron dutch oven, I don't have to wrestle with it. But this won't substitute for a heavy pot, it's just a nice addition.

When we initially opened the box, my husband commented on how thin the pot was. Since then, I have made a pot of soup in it, and it cooks like a much heavier pot. You can't go wrong with Calphalon!

MY only regret? the "classic hard-anodized" series seems to be discontinued, ah, well ( the "infused" is a decent substitute, but keep it from intense heat, or the "infused" stuff gets an "etched" fee. . . ). . .

I needed a good dutch oven, one roomy enought for stirring. This one did the job. The bottom is so nice and thick, not much worrying about burning. I made the best pot of beef stew in it ever. A great pot for a great price.

My favorite

This casserole pot is fantastic. It has become my favorite so much so that I have also purchased it as a Christmas gift for my niece. The size is terrific and the material is top-notch. I highly recommend this product!

Haven't used it yet because of the size but look forward to when our family is together for holidays and summer.

Great stew pot

We bought these because our set did not come with one, excellent buy tho they should include in set. This pot works wonderfully!!!

Too bad that Calphalon decided to discontinue this particular product line. Would have gladly paid the extra $s if it would still have been made in Toledo, Ohio vice China.

Love this pan!

I would highly recommend the Chef's Casserole. It distributes the heat evenly. I love the size and it is not too heavy to lift off the stove when filled with food.
