Use the Calphalon 7-qt. Simply Calphalon Nonstick Dutch Oven to create tender pulled pork, sumptuous stews and creative casseroles. This durable piece of cookware is crafted from medium-gauge hard-anodized aluminum and features a durable exterior that won't crack or chip. The nonreactive inner surface has a double-layer nonstick coating that lets you cook without added oils, and it makes cleanup practically effortless. Because this piece of cookware can handle oven temperatures up to 400 degrees F, you can experiment with recipes that require searing the food on the stovetop and then finishing it off in the oven. The stainless steel handles on this Dutch oven are coated with silicone, so you won't burn your hands when you need to move the pot between burners midway through the cooking process. The handles are double riveted for reliability and will minimize the risk of accidents when lifting a full pot. A tempered glass lid makes it easy to see into the pot while you cook, and the lid's dome shape allows for efficient moisture retention during the cooking process. With a capacity of 7 quarts, this Dutch oven can hold plenty of meat and vegetables, so you can cook a pot roast for a crowd or a full pot of chili for your next tailgating party. The deep sides keep spatters contained, even when you're stirring vigorously, and the wide cooking surface heats evenly, so you don't have to worry about overcooked or undercooked portions. This piece of cookware comes with a 10-year warranty.

This dutch oven is just what I've always wanted, and the price was more than right! I always wanted Calphalon pots and bought this one, along with a skillet and omelet pan for Christmas this year. All three have become my favorites as I predicted. Nothing cooks better than Calphalon!
This pot is amazing. Heavy duty and SO easy to clean up. Nothing sticks and everything cooks evenly. I haven't tried it in the oven yet, but am looking forward to it! It's perfect for everything... chili, spaghetti, browning chicken...
I used it right away & was very happy with the way food cooked, the overall look of the Dutch oven. This is the second pot of this type that I have purchased & I plan to get more. They clean up so easily. The lid fits very secure which makes cooking time much less.
The very first time I used it I was sure to use a wooden spoon to saute vegetables. Imagine my surprise when I washed it and found a huge scratch. I just won't bother buying "non-stick" cookware anymore.
We purchased this item to replace one just like it with which we had issues of food sticking and the non-stick finish coming off. We hope to have better luck with this one. Obviously, we like Calphalon cookware because we bought another piece, and we have a lot of other pots and pans by Calphalon in our kitchen.
I prepared a brisket using this product yesterday, first searing all sides; then adding a variety of veggies and liquid to bottom of pan; then laying brisket onto the veggies; and then finishing at low temp. in the oven. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. Clean-up was easy as usual with your products.
I'm really enjoying using the new pots and pans and thank you the opportunity to review.
One problem experienced: a 1 qt. pan purchased some time ago and used quite often was also used for Thanksgiving dinner. Something boiled over that apparently caused streaking on the outside of the pan. I don't know how to correct that. Any suggestions?
Used it right away, love the pot because I don't have to worry about over flow. The handles you have to be careful because the black protection does not go flush to the pot and is not as thick as in other pots,so be mindful when holding. I would not put it in the dishwasher, cause some soaps can whiten the outside finish, It takes one minute to wash by hand and easy so save the dish washer for the plate. Cooked nice and even, Made a bean soup with it. I have 3 sets of pots and pans, but not one this big for when I make soups and chili's. Love it, would recommend it to all cooks. I do cook every day,and take care of my pans, Keep the bubble wrap that comes with the pans and cut and use them for inside and bottom of pans when you store them inside each other, this will protect your pots and does not cost you anything.
