I purchased this dutch oven to replace a LeCreuset Dutch Oven, and this item is much more efficient and much easier in cleaning.

Now this is BIG

When I purchased this I was truly not sure how big 8.5 qts was now I know. I will love this as I can now roast a very small turkey or large chicken in this Dutch Oven. I have not used it as of this writing, however I have used Calphalon products and have found them to be just what they say. I look forward to useing this for stews, soups and roasting. I am even thinking about ordering the smaller Dutch Oven for my smaller needs. Thank you for this size Calphalon. Debbie D. Hanford, Ca

Nonstick Dutch Oven, (8.5-qt.)

When I first opened my box, I was concerned that the edges of the pot seemed thin, I am so used to working with hard anodized pots. But to my surprise when using this pot, I love the weight of it when it is full, I love the way the non-stick is so practical when it comes to cleaning. The curved contours allows for ease of use when stirring, and I have yet to have regret my purchase.

Something Every Good Cook/Chef Must Have!!!!!

Since I bought my Caphalon 8/5 Qt. nonstick Dutch oven, I've cooked everything from pumpkin stew, to lamb shanks, to beef stew, to the chicken soup, to osso bucco, to stewed seasonal veggies featuring root veggies in this pot. I've been waiting for this pot to go on sale so that I could get it for my daughters who are great cooks (ahem, just like their mother). I didn't bother to wait until Christmas to give it to them...to great a pot to waste in the closet...go ahead and treat yourself...you're worth it!!!! I cook for the family, just my husband & we entertain friend & I use all the American Made Caphalon, especially the flip pans...

Awesome Chili Pot

I just love the surface area of this dutch oven compared to my last one. You can certainly make very large batches of chili and soup in this baby. The best dutch oven I've owned.

I needed a larger dutch oven than the 5qt. one I already had. This is perfect and made in the usual high quality Calphalon fashion. Great for larger quantities of soups and stews.
Cleaning is a breeze.

was skeptical at first. the pan being so light compared to my lodge cast iron oven. But used it twice allready and it cooked as good as my lodge.So far I am satisfied with it.

Perfect Size

I've only had this pan for a short time and can't believe how many times I've used it, especially during Thankgiving prep. Have made soup, gravy, boiled potatoes and will use it several more times before turkey day is over. Lighter weight than I expected, but easy to handle when full.

The best dutch oven

I bought this for a Christmas gift for my daughter. I have one and I absolutely love mine. There isn't a week that goes by that I don't use it for something. You will not regret this purchase. Best of all it is made in the USA.
