Add the Wusthof 8-in. Classic Cook's Knife to your kitchen accessories for perfect slicing and dicing results every time. A great starter knife for the beginning chef, this high-carbon stainless steel knife is crafted by one of the world's leading knife makers and will hold up over time without breaking, rusting or losing its edge. Because the metal of the blade extends into the handle, this knife feels perfectly balanced each time you pick it up, making it a popular choice for home cooks and professional chefs alike. The edge of the 8-inch knife is sharper than ever due to new computer-controlled edging techniques. The new knife is 30 percent sharper and will last twice as long before it needs to be sharpened. The edge extends the length of the blade and easily handles onions, tomatoes, celery, and other tough-skinned vegetables. The bolster (back) of this blade is properly blunted and smooth, allowing for endless vegetable dicing. The sturdy polypropylene handle is ergonomically designed to fit in your hand for comfortable kitchen prep time.

Best Used For:

Slicing, dicing and chopping vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients. This multifunction knife can also be used for disjointing chicken or slicing fresh beef, among other meats.

This chef's knife completes my set of three and I couldn't be happier. Its feel and blade design are just what I expected from this manufacturer and I have never been disappointed with their products. Expensive? Yes, But I'll probably give the set to my daughter in the far future.

Its a knife

I know Wusthof is one of the best, but we bought this knife as a gift to replace a friends missing 40 dollar Calphalon chefs knife. I don't see the real difference between the two... And although its a fabulous knife, and it cuts well, I think we would have all been satisfied with the calphalon again. But by no means is it a bad knife. In fact it is a fantastic knife. Just I dont know if its reeeally worth the money. Needless to say, he loves it and agrees it was a lot for a knife. We are glad we got it, but if you're not a chef, and you want a great knife, you don't necessarily need this Wusthof.

I love this knife. I used it to slice the turkey at Christmas and it did a beautiful job. I also used it to chop everything for Christmas dinner. It is a perfect weight and the handle is excellent.

I have been reading and hearing that no cook should be without a good Chef's or Cook's knife, so I sprung for this beauty. What a difference it makes compared to my other knives! Balanced and beautiful, I find excuses to use this kitchen helper. Thanks!!
