This has turned out to be the best kitchen accessory I could have gotten. I'm eating more apples because of this. It makes preparing apples so much easier.

8" Apple Corer by OXO

by Charles, NM
December 5, 2010

This little Gem of a Tool does a great job on easily
removing the core from Apples. All you need to do is
place the tool in the center of the apple core give a
slight twist and push at the same time and then remove the tool and discard the apple core. In the event that you didn't line up the tool perfectly with the
apple core center, you can clean up the rest of the core by re-inserting the tool back into the apple by simply scraping the sides of the core. The firm black-rubber handle of the OXO tool fits the hand perfectly and has a good grip surface for ease of use, plus it has a hole blended in for hanging up if you so desire.

Highly Recommend 8-in.Blk-Handled Apple Corer

by Tracy, MO
April 17, 2010

I am very pleased with this product, which is well worth the money. It is very easy to use, and SO much better than the little cheap plastic one I used to use that didn't work well and gave me strong twinges of arthritis pain. This works so much better, cores apples great and MUCH more quickly! Not only is it easy to use, it's easy on your hands.

January 10, 2010

This was a Christmas gift from my husband and truly a blessing in disguise. I have never owned anything like this. It was so easy to use and saved me an unbelievable amount of time on something that used to take me over an hour to do without this tool. A very good product.

To the Core

by Howard, DE
December 16, 2009

It works! With little effort you can easily core an apple. Though, when coring large apples some of the core remains, requiring additional effort to remove it.

size

by JoAnne, AZ

my problem with the corer is that it is too large and takes out too much of the core of the apple especially if they are not really large apples

Love the Oversized Handle - Great Leverage

by Christie, TN
January 26, 2009

Love this apple corer. Nice large handle that allows you to really work the tool without having to worry about it slipping. For extra large apples it isn't quite long enough. It works very well for small, medium & large apples. Requires some strength.

I found the corer to be a big help with corering apples.

Gets RIght to the Core of the Issue

by Merrill, GA
March 12, 2008

My right hand has issues since a bad injury a few years ago. This Ergonomic handle easy to grasp and use. Just a little twist and you have a perfectly cored apple.

I made a dish of pork chop and apples. I spent less than 2 minutes coring the apples -- a job that normally takes 10 minute or more and leaves my hand aching.

If you have to core apples from time to time, this is a kitchen tool worth having in the drawer
