I'm giving the spoon rest as a gift. I can't for the life of me figure out why the measuring spoon set and the measuring cup set are priced so high. I would love to purchase them but just can't justify the asking price.

Pewter Spoon Rest

For the past several years, I have had my mind set on finding a spoon rest that complimented our kitchen decor. I kept thinking I would find something on a trip, but alas, I never did. Most were too large, and usually too attention grabbing. I ordered this one from The Paula Deen store when I ordered the measuring cup set, and I am quite pleased I did. The spoon rest is not too big, and looks elegant next to the stove top. And almost best of all, it cleans up beautifully.

Gorgeous Spoon Rest in Pewter

I love this spoon rest. I had a plain stainless steel one and decided after seeing this on the Paula Deen site to order it. Better than expected. Truly a well made piece and just gorgeous. I had the measuring spoons in Pewter so this just makes the top of my counters around the stove top.

Love the spoonrest

This looks great on my stove near my matching measuring spoon rest and works great!

I liked the fact that the spoon was pewter, as I also have pewter measuring spoons. It is useful and will not break or chip as most spoon holders do.

THE MOST PERFECT SPOON REST!

What a GREAT spoon rest! It is shaped perfectly to accomodate large cooking utensils or small. It is absolutely perfect and the quality and looks of this spoon rest is a knock-out. I bought 2 so that I could send one as a gift. I have looked for years for a descent spoon rest and finally found this. It is made by Crosby & Taylor and they have other designs but this design was made especially for Paula Deen and I really love it.

By the way, I was so taken with the quality, I purchased the measuring cup set to match and have also just purchased the "blackberry" canister set, coffee canister, garlic container (not of the same design). I have new granite countertops and these all look fabulous setting on them.

It's big enough for a large spoon/ladle but rather clunky in it's style.

Information was decieiving

This spoon rest was NOT 8" long it is 7-1/4 inches long. It is not as heavy as I thought it would be. Easy to slide around..For the price I think it should have been heavier. Very disappointed

Picture doesn't do it justice. Just the right size..not too big..not too small. This will look lovely in my daughter's kitchen.

Pewter spoon rest

I really do like the design on the spoon rest and how heavy it is. The picture shown is a bit misleading though in that it shows a little green ribbon on the spoon rest and mine had none. I will have to buy some ribbon in order to dress it up a bit. I was also disappointed in the packaging of the product. I thought it would come in some sort of box and it was by itself in those styrofoam peanuts. I will also have to find a box for the spoon rest being it is a gift. It could have at least been packaged in a plastic bag or some tissue paper. Overall, I am happy with the quality of the product.

Great stocking stuffer 4 any kitchen person.
