The blade is sharp, the attractive wooden handles are comfortable and it fits perfectly inside the bowl/board it was purchased specifically for.

Having a mezzaluna is a nice addition to any kitchen that uses lots of chopped herbs.

We love this- it is nice and wide, and we've used it several times already to chop large amounts of vegetables (for making steamed veggies, mashed potatoes, etc.) very quickly and safely.

Mezzaluna Christmas gift

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my friend that attended an Italian cooking class with me. We saw the mezzaluna used for the first time and were truly impressed. She loves it, says it is everything she thought it would be. Now I just need to purchase one for ME!

Perfect!

This was exactly what I was looking for... perfect size for all my my chopping needs and it has held up well thus far.

The blade was good and works well for what we bought it for (chopping salad). However, less than a week after receiving it, one of the handles developed a crack. I don't think we were using it inappropriately, I just think it's probably not as durable as I would've liked.

Nigella's Mezzaluna

I am so pleased with this purchase and item. It is easy to use and very versatile. I recommend this product to anyone who is interested in purchasing.

Nice size, needs to be sharper

I like the mezzaluna, the size is very comfortable to use, the handles provide a good grip. My only negative with this is that it really needs to be much sharper. I used a knife sharpener on it and that helped, but it should have come with a much sharper blade. Still, since you can sharpen it, it is a good buy, and I would recommend it.

Good Product...Great Value

This was a gift for my wife and she loves it. We had never owned a Mezzaluna before, so I kind of learned as I shopped. If I had to do it again, the only thing different would have been to get a knife with it's own curved cutting board.

Great knife!

Just like we saw in the restaurant Chop't in DC, we are making our own chopped salads for dinner. We just ordered another one, so on salad nights, two people at a time can make their own. My teens love making their own salads and using the mezzaluna to chop it. I find it very easy to use.

Mezzaluna works well, but had to sharpen the middle of the blade.

I've watched Nigella whip up some fantastic and delicious recipes using the Mezzaluna board with this Mezzaluna and I am attempting to duplicate those very dishes! I love it!

great knife

I gave this as a gift to a friend who loves to cook and she is very pleased with it and I'm planning on getting one for myself too. Anyone who has any issues with arthritis in their hands will probably find this type of knife more comfortable than a traditional knife for some things.

Great option for mincing and dicing

For those a little worried about their knife skills or of cutting a finger, this mezzaluna is a great option, and at a very reasonable price. It really minces herbs and garlic, etc., wonderfully fast. I love mine, and have given one as a gift to THREE other people. It's such a unique and useful thing for the home chef.

Ease of Operation

I LOVE the mezzaluna. I love to cook. I bought one as a birthday gift for my sister and one for myself.

Has been a great asset to chop meats, etc. WAs wearing my arm out using a large kmife to chop pulled pork down to chopped bbq size. Just wish it had some kind of cover.
