Give your salads just the right amount of dressing with the Cuisipro 8-oz. Gourmet Oil Mister. Pump the top of this non-aerosol mister to build up internal pressure, and then press the sprayhead to give a light coating of oil, vinegar or dressing to your food. The superfine mist allows you to add just enough oil or dressing to add flavor without packing on the calories, and it ensures that the 8 ounces the mister holds will last you a long time. The Cuisipro mister has a built-in filter, so you'll never need to worry about your mister getting clogged up with solid particles, keeping maintenance to a minimum. Its curved shape makes the mister comfortable to hold, and a brushed stainless steel exterior gives it a punch of style, making it elegant enough to complement any modern kitchen.
Best Used For:
Make healthy salads with your Cuisipro mister. Fill it with a light dressing, olive oil, vinegar or a healthy vinaigrette to add just the right amount of flavor to your food while keeping calories to a minimum. Use this mister to give your pan a light nonstick coating of oil, or spray it directly onto fish, poultry or meat that you plan on grilling to prevent it from sticking to the grates. For non-food use, fill it with water to give your houseplants an occasional misting, or fill it with household lubricant and use it to keep hinges from getting stuck.

I read a couple of reviews from other users, and they were less than enthusiastic, so I was a bit skeptical about the oil mister. But it turned out to be really great; no leakage, easy to use. I think the tricks are to only fill it half full and be sure the inner cap is well tightened.
My only reservation might be that it requires re-pumping pretty often while using for any large surface, such as a baking sheet, but that is easy to do.
A great advantage is that it does away with the objectionable fumes and odor of the propellant in pressure cans of oil. Also, I recently discovered that use of pressure cans can harm the non-stick quality of pans such as anodized aluminum Calphalon, for instance. This mister is a great solution to applying a minimum amount of oil for baking, etc.
This was a waste of money. It maintains pressure for about 1-2 seconds, then collapses from a mist to a solid stream of oil. Only repumping a lot will restore it, but I don't understand why it doesn't maintain pressure better. I've used others but they were able to mist for much longer periods of time without recharging. Not recommended.
This is a great product that benefits you as well as the environment. Everyone knows that you should never use aerosol non-stick sprays on any non-stick surface. This eliminates the need for those sprays all together. You can use it on any almost any cooking vessel or surface and with any type of cooking oil. I came back to Cooking.com to buy more as hostess gifts. Everyone should have one of these in their home.
The sprayer works best when half full. You'll need to keep it pumped up three or four pumps past the point of resistance to get the longest spray time, although that isn't much. Other sprayers clog, cost more and don't do more or cost less and do much worse. They're expensive, as is this one but it works better than other ones in the same price range.
