We love this coffee bean grinder. Have used traditional bean grinder for many years where you add beans daily and this saves that step which is a real asset. Love having a choice for grinding beans coarse, medium, or fine.

Excellent Coffee Grinder

We like the automatic Burr Coffee Grinder by Cuisinart very much. It grinds to the exact grind we select. It's nice to be able to grind coffee from coarse (for our coffee press) to very fine (for our espresso maker). Well constructed. Good value.

Two negatives:

1) the automatic stop function does not work well. When the grinder stops grinding there are still beans in the hopper. I have to hold down the start bar to finish the job completely.

2) the static in the plastic container is a pain. Ground coffee clings to the sides and it is difficult to remove until I wash the container.

One positive:
the taste of my coffee is improved by this grinding method.

Saw the show on making a man's breakfast. In it, he recommended the burr grinder type. We were using a spice grinder or (shudder) buying our Starbucks beans already ground in the Supermarket. We placed the old spice grinder back to it's normal duty and now wake up to the wonderful spell of fresh ground coffee. As for the portioning of the coffee, going by the standard number of cups they recommend, we usually go down 2 cups (ie: grind 6 cups if we're making 8 cups of coffee). This makes it just the right strength for our taste.

Reliably great!

I had the previous version of this grinder for several years. When it broke, I did some research and bought a different maker's grinder. Big mistake. It stopped working after 6 weeks. I had to call the manufacturer to get a refund code. They said it was MY FAULT the grinder stopped working because I was using Starbucks beans, which are too oily. Sigh. Threw it out and got this Cuisinart. It may not be the quietest ever, but it works well and works when you need it to. I learned my lesson--stick with Cuisinart!

The grinder does what it was supposed to do. It is easy to clean and does not take up too much room in a small kitchen. My only complaint is that it is very noisy.

After wearing out several countertop coffee grinders, this is the first coffee mill we have owned. As with commercial grade mills found in grocery stores and coffee shops, the uniformity of the ground coffee coming from this mill is excellent. Overall we are satisfied with the performance of this product.

This is my second Burr grinder - and so far I am very pleased. This grinder is very easy to use and does not create the mess my other grinder did.

I purchased this on the advice of my sister-in-law. She always has great product advice! She is a coffee lover and bought this and loved it.
I don't drink coffee but my husband does and he was never satisfied with our coffee at home. We use bottled water and a Cuisinart coffee maker and fresh coffee beans...and still he was never really happy with the taste - until we had this grinder! Everyday he tells me how much he loves the coffee and he no longer buys coffee out. Amazing that all it took was a different type of grinder - but it has done it for us.

I read other reviews and decided to order this burr grinder. I love it -- it does everything it should. You can't go wrong when you stay with Cuisinart.

Very (VERY) loud

We bought this product to be used in a small kitchen area of school. The grinder is so loud that we are forced to use it outside so to not distrupt the entire building. Other than the noise, the grinder is quick and easy to use but the noise factor makes it difficult to use in the method we would like. We are having to purchase another more quiet grinder to use in the school.

Wonderful coffee

Nothing like freshly ground coffee first thing in the morning. The machine is easy to use, fast, and perfectly measured the correct amount!!!

The BEST coffee grinder I have ever owned

This grinder is the best one I have ever seen. It allows you to "fine tune" the amount and grind of the coffee beans to make the perfect cup of coffee. Truly worth more than the low price. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to make a great cup of coffee.

Still a Good product

I was very happy to see that you carried this grinder. It is the very same grinder I bought about 5 years ago and it is has been a workhorse of high quality and performance, easy to clean and use. Were it not for an accident which resulted in a chip breaking off the grinding base I would not have replaced it because it was still performing well but the mechanism that controlled the automatic stop of the grinder at the desired number of cups was affected by the accident.

I have only had the Burr Coffee Grinder a few weeks, but can tell the difference. I really like being able to change the grind and i love the storage capability. I had a Krups grinder for years (in fact still do), but it was inconvenient to have to load it with beans every morning and the grind was not consistent. Love this machine so far.

Good Grinder

This little grinder does a nice job of grinding espresso coffee. The settings and amounts are good and the container for the grounds fits tight so there is no blow by. This is a nice grinder for the money.

This grinder allows a wide variety of grinds from very fine to course. It is handy to use as you can pre-set the type of grind you want.

Cuisinart Burr Grinder

I really like this grinder. I read some of the reviews that talk about finding whole beans in ground coffee. I've never experienced this, Instead, the grounds are even and predictable. In my household we use a couple of different methods of creating coffee, and the grinder is easy to adjust for each of these methods.
The space through which the ground coffee is sent to the removable holding bin gets clogged, and one needs to be careful and diligent in cleaning this occasionally, as the grounds that pack there can turn rancid, affecting the taste of freshly ground coffee. Cleaning is easy, and the entire top bin, where the whole beans are placed, comes off to allow easy access to the grinding area.

Maybe a lemon?

While most rated this grinder very well, the one I received resulted in the worst flavored grinds I've ever tasted. I thought it might be the coffee or settings, but I went through a couple of bags trying everything still getting the same bitter, maybe burnt flavor. There was even a stinky smell from the grinds. I bought another Capresso burr grinder and my kitchen is back to smelling like fresh coffee again and from the same bag of beans.
