The Cuisinart 8-oz. Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Coffee Grinder delivers perfectly ground coffee each and every time. Like all burr grinders, the Cuisinart crushes your coffee beans to get the ground coffee you can use in your coffeemaker. Unlike blade grinders, burr grinders preserve coffee's natural oils that make it smell and taste amazing. The Cuisinart burr coffee grinder provides 18 different settings, ranging from ultra fine to extra coarse, so you can get the grind that works best for your type of coffee beans and your coffeemaker. Thanks to the automatic timer, the grinder will automatically shut off when it's done, and the grounds will be uniform in size. The bean hopper stores 8 ounces of beans, so you don't have to refill the grinder every time you want to brew coffee. Just before making your cup of coffee, grind your beans. You can grind between 4 and 18 cups' worth of beans at a time. For best results, grind your coffee immediately before brewing. You'll get to enjoy the natural flavors of your coffee, before the delicate oils break down. This coffee grinder comes with a cleaning brush, so you can easily clean the grounds out of the chamber.

Studied lots of grinders. Knew the expensive ones were out of my budget but I wanted a "burr" one that would grind uniformly. This one does great. Doesn't make a mess (like some) all over the counter. Lets you select from very fine to very coarse. Looks nice on the counter and doesn't take up a lot of room. Usually can't go wrong with Cuisnart products
As I saw mentioned in several reviews of other grinders before I ordered this one, it does not make a truly fine espresso grind, even at its finest setting. It comes close enough that I give it a good value for the price, but if you want a true espresso grind, keep looking.
I love this coffee grinder. I saw it at my daughter's house and had to order one. I just push a button and the right amount of coffee is ready to be brewed. No more measuring, cleaning the grinder daily, no more mess. And I can store 1/2 lb. of coffee beans in the grinder, see when the supply is getting low and add more. I wish I had known about it years ago.

This product is just perfect.
My son has one just like this. I love it! It does make noise like some have said bothers them, but how can you grind hard little beans quietly? It is perfect, looks nice on my counter. For the price it is just great. I am not a coffee connoisseur and so I didn't need a high priced grinder. As I said this one is perfect for my needs. Very convenient.
I have used my new Cuisinart every day since it arrived. I love it! I've had other coffee grinders but none that compared to this. It's easy to use, looks good on the counter top and does an excellent job.
I would recommend the Cuisinart Grinder without hesitation.
OK lets get right to it...this is NOT a commercial grade grinder. It WILL leave a bean once in a while in your hopper, show some MINOR discrepancies in the grind consistency, But danging people it was less than $50! and in the nearly month of constant use (*over 4lbs of coffee so far!) I have ZERO complaints. I am the most evil product tester on this planet. I built one-off extreme high end engineering computing systems with no tolerance for substandard products...in short I am anal about quality. So far this thing makes the grade for what I expected, ask of it, and needed. If you need absolute perfection in your grind consistency, and want to use it more than I do then pony up the cash and buy a commercial grade unit for 20-100 times as much. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is I get an unground bean once in about every 16-24oz of coffee (*ya 1 in 2-3 bean hopper loads!).,,,Buy It, Use It or do what I do, while the wife drinks the mud this makes...have a cup of whole leaf tea and leave the beans for the less fortunate.
We love it! For the money and the time it saves on grinding your own fresh beans this machine does a fantasic job! It will grind the bean to your selection grind a half of a pound at the time. I would definitely buy this grind again!
This great looking grinder does the job like a commercial machine and looks so pretty at the same time! Lets you choose very fine to coarse grind and is fully automatic. I love mine totally! Also the customer service is awesome. I had a problem with the first one I bought, called CS and they shipped me a new one without charge and paid to have the first one returned! Who does that these days???
Cuisinart never ceases to disappoint me and they have another winner in the Automatic Burr Coffee Grinder. Price and value are excellent compared to other products from online competitors. The best part is the broad range of the grinder settings and automatic shut off.
This little grinder does a nice job of grinding espresso coffee. The settings and amounts are good and the container for the grounds fits tight so there is no blow by. This is a nice grinder for the money.
I have only had the Burr Coffee Grinder a few weeks, but can tell the difference. I really like being able to change the grind and i love the storage capability. I had a Krups grinder for years (in fact still do), but it was inconvenient to have to load it with beans every morning and the grind was not consistent. Love this machine so far.
Bought this for my husband as a gift to go with an espresso machine I gave him. He has been very pleased with the machine..no problems with it and he likes that it is large enough that he can ground enough beans in the morning and have some in reserve for later. Only reason I didn't give 5 starts is b/c I can' t say there is anything exceptional bout the machine..it's very good, but nothing stands out.
I had the previous version of this grinder for several years. When it broke, I did some research and bought a different maker's grinder. Big mistake. It stopped working after 6 weeks. I had to call the manufacturer to get a refund code. They said it was MY FAULT the grinder stopped working because I was using Starbucks beans, which are too oily. Sigh. Threw it out and got this Cuisinart. It may not be the quietest ever, but it works well and works when you need it to. I learned my lesson--stick with Cuisinart!
My son-in-law expressed an interest in a coffee grinder so decided to get him one for Christmas. After spending hours ( and I mean hours) trying to find the right one I finally decided to purchase this one. The deciding factors were that it seemed like the best deal for the money. While there were numerous negative comments, there were also some positive comments. Those that were more highly recommended were much more expensive. I did not know if my son-in-law would feel it was worthwhile to grind his own beans or weather this was a passing interest, so I did not want to spend more money on something that would soon find it's way to the top cupboard shelf. So I decided on a somewhat middle of the road model. We tried it out the morning after Christmas and the coffee smelled wonderful. The taste was not what we wanted but that was because we needed to find the right amount of freshly ground coffee to use. It did not work to use the same amount of ground coffee as the freshly ground. But since then he has made coffee using this coffee grinder everyday and says it is great. He has not indicated any problems to me so I presume that means that nothing is so terrible that it is worth commenting on. So with all of that I think it has been a successful purchase. If something happens to this one then we will know more about what to look for in purchasing either and identical model or a more expensive one. But anyway, so far so good ....and good coffee drinking.
I have had a Braun mill for over 30 years - burr grinding mechanism wore out; and I used it past when i should have. Mill has been discontinued for years, and parts are no longer available...perhaps it has become an antique. I looked at many mills before I purchased the Cuisinart, and spoke with people that had one. I find it to work very well, and while others have com[plained about noise, it is no louder than my old mill. It is, for me, difficult to expect a "silent" mill that is grinding relatively hard coffee beans in any kind of grinder.
Does a lovely job! My one complaint is if there are only a few beans left, they tend to "dance" around the hopper, rather than go down the chute. Other than that, it's easy to clean, stores well (nice cord holder thingie along the bottom), and fills the kitchen with that delicious coffee smell!
