The Cuisinart 8-oz. Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Coffee Grinder delivers perfectly ground coffee each and every time. Like all burr grinders, the Cuisinart crushes your coffee beans to get the ground coffee you can use in your coffeemaker. Unlike blade grinders, burr grinders preserve coffee's natural oils that make it smell and taste amazing. The Cuisinart burr coffee grinder provides 18 different settings, ranging from ultra fine to extra coarse, so you can get the grind that works best for your type of coffee beans and your coffeemaker. Thanks to the automatic timer, the grinder will automatically shut off when it's done, and the grounds will be uniform in size. The bean hopper stores 8 ounces of beans, so you don't have to refill the grinder every time you want to brew coffee. Just before making your cup of coffee, grind your beans. You can grind between 4 and 18 cups' worth of beans at a time. For best results, grind your coffee immediately before brewing. You'll get to enjoy the natural flavors of your coffee, before the delicate oils break down. This coffee grinder comes with a cleaning brush, so you can easily clean the grounds out of the chamber.

Features:

  • Burr grinding protects the natural oils of your coffee
  • Choose from 18 different grinds, from ultra fine to extra coarse
  • Grind enough coffee for between 4 and 18 cups at a time

  • MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS:

  • Studied lots of grinders. Knew the expensive ones were out of my budget but I wanted a "burr" one that would grind uniformly. This one does great. Doesn't make a mess (like some) all over the counter. Lets you select from very fine to very coarse. Looks nice on the counter and doesn't take up a lot of room. Usually can't go wrong with Cuisnart products

    I recommend this product.

  • As I saw mentioned in several reviews of other grinders before I ordered this one, it does not make a truly fine espresso grind, even at its finest setting. It comes close enough that I give it a good value for the price, but if you want a true espresso grind, keep looking.

    I recommend this product.

  • I love this coffee grinder. I saw it at my daughter's house and had to order one. I just push a button and the right amount of coffee is ready to be brewed. No more measuring, cleaning the grinder daily, no more mess. And I can store 1/2 lb. of coffee beans in the grinder, see when the supply is getting low and add more. I wish I had known about it years ago.

    I recommend this product.

  • Finally a good Burr.

I have been looking for a reaonably priced burr coffee mil for some time now. I prefer the burr because of the more even grind. to ahve the automatic features and the variable grind features is an added bonus. Great machine!

  • Excellent Coffee Grinder

We like the automatic Burr Coffee Grinder by Cuisinart very much. It grinds to the exact grind we select. It's nice to be able to grind coffee from coarse (for our coffee press) to very fine (for our espresso maker). Well constructed. Good value.

  • Very (VERY) loud

We bought this product to be used in a small kitchen area of school. The grinder is so loud that we are forced to use it outside so to not distrupt the entire building. Other than the noise, the grinder is quick and easy to use but the noise factor makes it difficult to use in the method we would like. We are having to purchase another more quiet grinder to use in the school.

  • Works well, but noisy

This grinder replaced a Krups burr grinder which had become unreliable.

The grinder works very well, but is much noisier than the Krups. We also appreciate the relative lack of static induced mess, which was a problem with the Krups.

    Overall, quite a satisfactory grinder

    I recommend this product.

  • We love this coffee bean grinder. Have used traditional bean grinder for many years where you add beans daily and this saves that step which is a real asset. Love having a choice for grinding beans coarse, medium, or fine.

  • Great Coffee Griinder

After searching for a good burr-type grinder and having purchased one that was unsatisfactory, I have replaced it with the 8-oz Burr Coffee Grinder by Cuisinart. By contrast with the other burr grinder I was using, the Cuisinart is well designed, sturdily built, takes up minimum space on the counter, holds lots of beans in the hopper, grinds the coffee the way I want it and doesn't cause a mess of grounds on the counter. It's easy to clean and the parts stay together as they're supposed to. I have only 2 small criticisms: grinding is somewhat noisy and the ground coffee hopper is a little difficult to re-insert in the machine. Small problems for a great daily grind!

    I recommend this product.

  • Made in China, but what are my options!

I looked and looked but could not find a reasonably prices burr coffee grinder that is NOT made in China. I try not to think about how much lead I may be getting each time I use it. Man, I would have even bought one from France, and they aren't on my good list either. Lesser of two evils I guess.

  • This grinder is easy to use, it accurately grinds the amount of coffee needed, and it seems to make the grind consistent when not on the finest settings. When the setting is on the finest settings, however, the grind seems to become inconsistent. I have had other burr grinders, and this is one of the better ones. Certainly, for the price, it is the best.

  • My coffee now tastes coffee house!

It's true. You do get a far better cup of coffee with this grinder....actually more than I was expecting. I used to jump out of bed every morning just to beat my husband to the coffee maker because his coffee making skills are so bad. This grinder takes any guess work out of making a great pot of coffee every single time. I have turned into such a coffee snob that I grind a batch of beans to take with me to work every morning....and I covet my own 'coffee house' experience through-out my day.

  • Looks nice and works well

Good, consistent grind. It can grind very fine, but not quite espresso-fine. Plenty good for coffee. Easy to use, easy to clean.

Just as noisy as the old blade grinders I have owned in the past.
I wish the hopper held more beans, and had a positive, airtight seal.
The seal is no big deal because it only holds about 3 days worth of beans.

All in all, I'm happy with it and it is well worth the money.
If you are currently using a blade grinder, this thing is a huge improvement!

    I recommend this product.

  • Better coffee through burring

After our old blade grinder died, I ordered this burr grinder to replace it. I wasn't sure it would be worth the extra cost, but I'd always heard burr-ground coffee was better. And it is. I've really been pleased with this grinder. The coffee tastes smoother and richer, and the grinder itself is actually easier to use than the blade grinders -- you just push a button and it does the work. Great for early-morning half-asleep people. It even stores the coffee for you. The only minor gripe I have -- and it's very minor -- is that you do need to hold the grounds container over the sink when you open it, to keep from scattering grounds on the counter. Or maybe I'm just uncoordinated. But that's not a big deal. We love this grinder. It was definitely worth the money. In fact, it seems like a bargain now that we've had it a while.

  • Overall, a very nice grinder.

Overall, almost everything about the grinder is great. My last grinder was a blade grinder with no timing mechanism. I never knew when to stop grinding the beans before they started to heat up and burn. What I like the most about this burr gringer are all the different grinding settings. I tried 3 or 4 different settings until I found the perfect grind for my liking. The grinder also has a setting for the amount of beans to grind. Once you find your favorite grind setting, pick the amount of beans to grind and press the start button. The grinder lets the proper amount of beans into the grinder and times out automatically. The only downfall with this grinder is it is louder than I expected from a grinder. This is my first burr grinder so I don't know if this grinder is louder, the same, or quieter than other burr grinders. It is louder than blade grinders. I would still purchase the product again if I have the chance to do so.

    I recommend this product.

  • Grind settings

The finest level of grind on this grinder is not fine enough for Turkish or even Espresso coffee. If the buyer is not interested in either one of these and would just be using for the purpose of either drip or french press coffee, then the grinder is very good and a very good value for the dollar. Would definitely not recommend for espresso or turkish coffees.
