I expected this European knife set to be accompanied by a European-made box. I was disappointed to see it was made in China.

The knives, although designed in Germany, made in Spain...were housed in a box made in China. I have thrown the box in the recycle bin and have purchased a wood knife block to house these beautiful steak knives.

Haven't used the knives yet, so I can't comment on their performance. They appear to be of excellent quality and will look nice on the table with our bone china and silver place settings. Expect to use them for dinner parties.

This is a beautiful set of steak knifes presented in lovely box purchased, as a gift for yourself (as I did :) ) or for someone else. Because I purchased them for myself I already had a place in mind for the knifes and felt a bit bad that I had no use for the box so it was recycled :(
The knifes themselves have stolen the show with dinner guests; as they are beautiful, easy to handle and of course sharp....

I can only say now that the steak knives were beautifully packaged and beautiful themselves. The manufacturer has an excellent reputation and I'm looking forward to using them, but am waiting until we have our first steak cookout on the grill this spring. Can let you know more then about how they cut, but based on their sharpness in the box, don't forsee this being a problem.

Liked the look of these knives - went well with our Dansk stainless set. Very sharp and cut our tasty steaks like butter! Made an excellent gift as well. Very happy with the purchase.

I got this for my husband as a Christmas gift.
Henckels is known for their product excellence, and these steak knives are no exception.

At this time it is difficult to rate the product as it was purchased as a Christmas gift and has not been put to use.
