LOVE this multi-pot & strainers/steamers

I had this item several years. Returned pot was discolored, they replaced pot, they are guaranteed for life and Calphalon is wonderful to honor their warranty. However, they forgot to include the baskets (strainer/steamer). When I emailed about them, they didn't find them or see that I had returned. I shouldn't have, but thot' I'd keep set together. I paid $100 again for this pot set with no discount; wasn't happy, but loved it enough to buy again. IF ever need to return, will not send inserts. Other than that, it is perfect. Great for steaming veggies (had used my other one twice) and really suitable for speghetti. Even though an 8 qt pot came with my set, I now have two. Never tooooooooo much Calphalon.

Heavy-weight and versatile

This is a gift purchase for my daughter so I've not actually used the product. However, I've completely unpacked and repacked it. I was very pleased with the quality and appearance of the product. The 2 inserts should make this a versatile addtition to my daughter's kitchen.

the weight and quality of this product

This product is not of the quality of my other Caphalon products that I have been using for years. The metal itself seems to be of another quality as well as the finish. I am very disappointed in this item.

Spacesaver

Got rid of several pots and pieces when we bought this multipot. Easy to clean. Used it as a stock pot, steamer and pasta cooker and extremely pleased with the quality.

Perfect size

Love the pot- perfect for making soup! I love that I can use any utensil and it doesn't scratch it.

very good for steaming

water boils pretty quickly and even with low setting, it is possible to get lots of steam with lid closed.

Best non-stick pot I own

I have used this pot everyday since I received it - from cooking chile to steaming vegetables. It never gets put away!

Great buy!

We started using this multi-pot right away and just love it. It is very versatile and it is easy to clean. It is light weight, looks good, and does what it is supposed to do! We are extremely happy with this purchase.

Excellent value!

This is one of the best bargains you can find in cookware. You get the 8 qt stockpot for a really good price and then they add the pasta insert and the steamer... What a deal! I was concerned that with the posted price, the pan might not be up to the quality/weight/finish I expect from Calphalon, but that is not the case. Nice heavy bottom, excellent quality and a great non-stick finish...

Good pot

I love this set and was thrilled to get it on sale. I now want to replace my old Pampered Chef cookwware with some more pieces in this line. Its a great versital pan.

I didn't know what I was missing!

This set is so great I have used it almost everyday since purchase. Don't know how I missed out all these years of cooking ...from vegies to pasta it is the greatest!

Long awaited need for new pot's and pan's

I've been using the same low grade pot and pan set for 20+ years. For my 50th birthday I received gift cards for a store that carried Calphalon. I purchased a 12" skillet with lid, best investment, love it. registered it and found the Calphalon site. I then bought the 8 qt. non stick multi-pot, absolutely wonderful, not to mention a great deal. I'm hooked and love my Calphalon and plan to purchase my set a piece at a time.

Good value

The 8-quart nonstick multi-pot is a tremendous value. It is significantly less expensive than other Calphalon products. I bought this for my son's home and had great difficulty finding it. Three stores in Austin and in Laredo didn't carry it, so I finally ordered it online. This pot, however, is much less attractive than the older Calphalon pasta pot that I bought years ago. I not only like the shape of my first purchase better, I also like its matching insert. Why in the world would inserts for the new pot be made of a different material? They don't look like Calphalon products. By the way, why isn't "pasta pot" or "pasta insert" part of the name of this product?

This pot and steamers are wonderful. Pasta cooked el denta and steamer holds a large amount of vegetables.

Versatile

The first thing I did with this pot was to can some spicy green beans. It held four 1/2 pint jars in the strainer and they lifted out easily after boiling. Looking forward to many more uses. Great concept with the 2 strainers.
