    Can't live without it

My steamers and pasta pans are some of my most used pieces. A new stove necessitated changing from the stainless steel pans I had used for 25 years. My daughter has Calphalon and loves them and so did I when I visited her. So I jumped at the chance to replace my old pieces with Calphalon. So far I am very happy. They are large enough, seem to heat very well on a lower heat setting than I am used to using. I am one those cooks who cooked everything on the highest heat setting. So I am following the manufacturers advice and cranking it down a bit. I'm happy with the results. The pans are keeping their promise of even cooking. And they are easy to clean.

    Great Multiple-use Pot !

    by LOIS, MN
    June 22, 2011

This pot is a great addition to my very small kitchen, where every square inch of real estate given up to an item of cookware needs the cookware to do dual duty. I was accustomed to a much thinner-bottomed stockpot, and this one is spectacular at simmering all day without burning anything on the bottom. Flavors really get a chance to come together. Veggie steamer and pasta basket make this more than a stockpot and, the pasta basket works great for lifting soaked beans out of the soaking water in one easy motion, for rinsing. Clean-up is easy with sponge and soapy water. Very impressed with this pot.

Works great - especially for seniors

    by Julie, UT
    July 17, 2011

First, I really love all my Calphalon nonstick pots and pans.

I have used the pasta insert for boiling potatoes for salad and macaroni for salad. It was easier and less messy than trying to pour into a colander in the sink (pasta)or hold a lid in place and try to drain the water off (potatoes). I'm 67 yrs old and this is easier than anything I have ever tried.

I haven't used the steamer insert yet but am looking forward to it.

    Amazing value for quality cookware

I thought this was a great deal when I purchased the set. And when I received the pans, I was thrilled with the quality. It's larger than I expected but the pans nest, so storage isn't an issue. It's nice not to have to take out the colander every time I make pasta.

I have been using my Multi-Pot for blanching fruits to preserve, steaming winter squash, boiling pasta and simmering tomato sauce in large batches. It handles everything! Quick, even heating and it cleans up like a dream.

I liked this pan if i was cooking small pasta. I noticed for when i cooked more than a box of the spaghetti i could not use as much water as needed because it would overflow when it reached boiling. great design for small amounts. i wish it were a larger diameter base on the pan because the flames on the gas stove would heat up the handles on the pan.

This is a do-it-all pot. I really appreciate the large 8-qt. capacity and the pasta and steamer inserts are terrific! It is very durable, easy to use, easy to clean, and my new go-to-pot for cooking everything from pot roast to stew to pasta to steaming veggies. A great pot and a good value.

The finest cookware that I have ever purchased, if you follow the directions that come with your cookware it is fantastic, I am more impressed with this cookware, than with the stainless that I have been using for years
