Steam shrimp

I purchased this item for the sole purpose of steaming shrimp. I had a pot I adapted for that purpose but I really wanted a steam pot. This combo is perfect because the lid fits over the pot and the steam basket sits down in the pot. Just what I needed.

Great product...better than I expected and within my budget. Found other similar products that were far more expensive. Definetly recommend this and the manufacturer.

I wanted to use all the parts before I gave

First I made soup / what a great stock pot. Then I cooked Pasta, no need for a colander, loved it. Next I steamed Brussell sprouts nice even steam, large enuff I did not have to stack them up. Good for two.

You only need this one Stockpot combination to perform multiple tasks in the Kitchen! From boiling pasta, fresh greens from the garden or market, fresh corn on the cob to steaming/poaching poultry and delicate seafood or just steaming hot dogs and/or buns!

Great Pot!

I really like this pot, the strainer insert is so handy, and construction is substantial! I haven't used the steamer insert yet, but I'm sure it will perform great as well.

it is a very nice addition to the kitchen,but as stated in another review u need to fill the pot at least half way to cook the pasta as the insert dictates the depth...

The handles on the basket for steaming tend to get in the way of larger items we like to steam and the larger colander sits a bit too high for larger amounts of noodles. That said, it still works.

I was impressed with the quality of the pot. This is the first time I've ever splurged and bought something that wasn't cheap for cooking. I only used it for spaghetti so far, and had some issues with the spaghetti falling through the holes.. but think it will be great for future cooking.

I love it. I have needed something like this for a while, but was hesitant to spend the kind of money that most of them cost. Found this one on sale and thought that the price was finally right. Love it!

The pot I really wanted!

Tried other stockpots. This is the one - not just a stockpot but also the pasta cooker and steamer were the selling points for me. Love the heavy bottom and see-through lid also.

Love the pan!

Love this pan. Versatile: Soup pot, Pasta Pot, Stock Pot and Steamer. Nice flat bottom for my ceramic cook top. Heats fast. Love Love Love it.

Good product, replaced a 50 year old version that we bought at a garage sale 15 years ago. This one is a great replacement. Really happy with the steamer and pasta parts.

Good for Pasta

The stockpot itself is heavy, which is good. It was necessary to tilt the cover when boiling pasta or it would have been all over the stovetop. However, that was not a problem. I noticed after washing the pot there were spots on the bottom that resembled pitting - it wasn't pitted, but that is how it looked. Not sure why - only boiled pasta in salted water; unless it was due to the salt and I would think that should not happen.

Don't buy this dysfunctional pot

This stockpot should be called no-purpose stockpot. it simply doesn't work. To use this pot to cook noodles is a disaster. In order to submerge the noodles, you need tons of water. The knob on top of the lid also became very hot.

The wire handles on the steamer insert' serve as an obstacle when I put things in and out.

I can't believe this is a calphalon product. I feel like being cheated for the price I paid for.

Don't buy this water-wasting money stealer!

multi uses

I needed to replace a very old pot that I used for boiling pasta or making stock. This pot does it all and more with the extra steamer insert. I don't expect to replace this in my life time and maybe even one of my children will inherit it.

Great product, Great price!

This stockpot works great for many different things. The multiple pieces really makes it flexible for a lot of tasks. We've used this to make pasta, steam veggies and many other things. It has a nice, solid construction and a big heavy base that helps retain the heat very well. We bought this when it was on sale and couldn't be happier, great product!
