I do not recommend this spiral slicer...

I thought this product was cheaply made. It did not perform as it said it would. My results were not long spiral stands of vegetables, but grated mush! Do NOT waste your money on this product!!

excellent product, my mom wants one

I thought the Joyce Chen Spiral Slicer was fantastic. It sliced zucchinis and cucumbers into angel hair thin strands in seconds. It made the healthiest spaghetti dinner I've ever eaten, and it was delicious! I tried using it with onions and will admit that I couldn't get it to work right - maybe I am doing something wrong? It more or less just juiced the onion. However, it worked fabulously with harder vegetables and fruits. Now my mom wants one. Definitely worth the money.

Hi granny here, I'm now making funny salads for myself and the grandkids. I know what's in there but I don't tell them, that way they are eatting good food and don't know it.

Others make this machine but I have found out if you go with Joyce Chen and get her stuff you get a good deal.

Once again Joyce Chen has brought us a great tool for the kitchen. I wowed Thanksgiving guests with a perfect looking apple tart and a fabulous salad. One friend wanted to know if I had had catering help. But be careful! This is a pro tool that needs respect. Sharper than sharp and not for use by the kids. Great value for the price and will have a permanent spot on my work counter!

Easy to use and easy to clean. It really makes nice shreds of anything you need to shred. I really love this slicer/shredder.

I have only tried carrots and zucchini and both were turn into mulch. Instructions not clear and the arm you turn is strange to manage to say the least

I love how this little slicer takes soft veggies and turns them into fine angel hair noodles. It is quick to use, easy to clean up and uncomplicated.

VERY POOR QUALITY

by Monica, MA
June 17, 2009

I had to return this product TWICE, both times for extremely bad workmanship n the very cheap plastic.

I was very much looking forward to this gadget but both times the product had manufacturing problems (cheapo plastic led to these problems) that made it inoperable.

Joyce Chen should take an interest because this makes her brand look very bad.

Easy Pasta Maker

by Wendy, FL
June 7, 2010

I bought this product to make vegetable pasta. It is very straight forward and works well for thick ribbon pasta. The angel hair pasta setting is tricky and the stands do not come apart easily. I was hesitant to buy this from other reviews but the machine works great and the instructions are very simple. I would purchase this if you do not want to make angel hair veggie pasta only.

Efficient and fun

Bought this for my husband, who is retired and taking over daily cooking (I still work). We now have the most interesting and attractive vegetables and fruits. The most successful was a cold beet salad with the beets in neat curls. My daughter liked it so much she asked for (and will be getting) one for Christmas.

Thumbs up

I bought this as a gift for my husband, who has taken over cooking dinner since his retirement, and he loves it. He made spiral beets for a beet salad that wowed our guests at a recent dinner party, and he has used the shredder option to shred carrots and make them into nests for creamed vegetables. My daughter was so impressed that I am getting her one for Christmas. We have not tried it on anything except firm vegetables, so I don't know how it would work on something softer.
