Unlike an American pie, a tart is never served in its baking pan, so the look of the pan is not important. What counts in a tart pan is its ability to heat evenly and quickly enough for the dough to "seize" or set . Take every ingredient you use to make a pie and construct a tart instead and you'll have a dessert that looks polished and, if you've put in a little extra effort, professional. The trick is in the pan. This pan is made of tinned steel, with a handy removable bottom.

Easy to use, easy to clean. Appears to heat evenly producing a uniformly browned crust. Removable bottom makes removing simple.

Pleased Purchase

by Joan, CA
August 12, 2009

This is my first purchase through the Food Network Store. The order process was clear and expedient. The confirmation was immediate and the monitoring process was available but I did not need to use it. The tart pan arrived quickly and was well packaged. The tart pan, itself, was of good quality; it was not tinny and cheap and I was especially appreciative that it was made in France as opposed to where most imports are made. I am very happy with my order from beginning to end and to the product itself. Thank you Food Network Store for a quality ordering site and quality merchandise.

I've reviewed this pan before and I still think it's great. I purchased another pan because someone tossed the bottom in the trash. It would be great if this site sold replacement bottoms but, all in all, a sturdy affordable item!!!!

Great for the price

by Linda, KY
November 11, 2008

I was amazed when I recieved my order. Little did I know that there were six tart pans when I thought I only ordered one. I use one (the first time I have ever used a tart pan in my life) and I was amazed at how easy it was. The crust came out golden brown just as you said it would and it came out very easy and didn't even stick at all. I would definitely reccommend this item to any cook wanting to make a tart.
Oh by the way the seniors at our church luncheon loved the tart dessert I made.
Thanks again!

Good deal for the price

by Martha, PA

I searched in four different stores for a 9 inch tart pan. Cooking.com has a good deal and service was speedy. When I go to parties with the Carrot Tarragon tart everyone thinks I spent hours cooking! Presentation fools everyone!

This was a gift for my sister and she said that it's made very well and hers had no rough edges on it. She likes the pan.

OK for small tarts!

by Kristine, CA

The material is a little flimsy. If you are making tarts for a larger group, you will need a bigger tart pan.

Very Good Tart Pan

by Dianne, MD
May 21, 2010

I researched a lot of tart pans and decided on this one. I think this is a very good tart pan and it is reasonably priced. It works perfectly for me - for the recipes that call for it. I couldn't ask for anything more. Goes fine in the dishwasher, too.

Round tart pan

Very good value but I learned the hard way that this pan needs to be baked on a cookie sheet - it will fall apart taking it out of the oven is not!

What a great Key-Lime tart this made! Browned my pastry perfectly, released without hesitation, there was no need to spray or butter anything. The fluted top is sharp so you can lay your dough over the edges then press the dough off perfectly.

In my small town it was impossible to find a tart pan. So when I got home I typed in google.com search for tart pans and it showed several. But these were either too small or too big or weren't fluted and one didnt have the removable bottom (which they have to have). But when I clicked on Cooking.com I found the perfect tart pan at a great price which was also cheaper than the others. Thanks cooking.com for having everything I need at the perfect price. After ordering it, it only took two days and it was here. Fast shipping, really fast shipping.

Recipes

by Sarah, IN

I ordered this pan because a recipe I was reading somewhere required it. I've misplaced the recipe - and was disappointed that none came with the pan.
But I'm sure I'll enjoy once I find something to bake in it!

I received exactly what I was looking for a tinned steel, two piece tart pan and I ordered two of them. They are a good value and I'm happy with them.
