There's nothing more appetizing than the smell of sizzling bacon on a Saturday morning. If you're a fan of this pork favorite, you'll love this Bacon Press, a cast iron round press that has a pig in the center design. Use it to thoroughly cook your bacon, or try it on burgers, quesadillas and grilled sandwiches to ensure even grilling all around. Heavy press is 9-in. across and features a wooden handle that stays cool to the touch. Includes instructions for seasoning before use, cleaning and storage.
  • Cleaning & Care: Handwash and dry thoroughly, coat with oil
  • Dimensions: 9 x 9-in.
  • Material: Heavy duty cast iron

  • This is Heavy Metal!

I love this thing! Slam your meat into the skillet and put this press on top. It is that simple. Heat and pressure does the rest- kind of like the way nature makes diamonds. This press is huge, like a manhole cover, and really does the job. I even use it to cook vegetables like green peppers and onions. I suggest that anyone who likes to cook own this bacon press. It rocks!

    I recommend this product.

  • Not Just For Bacon

I love this product! It fits very nicely in any round skillet and it does much more than keep bacon flat while cooking. I also use it to cook pork loin and chicken breasts & thighs in recipes where you need to pound the meat out thinner. It is great for "browning" meats and fresh vegetables too. Just make sure you do as the directions say... season the press before you use it.

    I recommend this product.

  • This is very nice. not too heavy, pretty easy to clean. I don't like the writing on the bottom. I am afraid I might not get it clean. But it is pretty easy to clean and very easy to season. Overall it is a good product.

    I recommend this product.

  • Il bought my Bacon Press over a year ago and liked it so much I got one for each of my children. It is a real bargain for the price and fits my 9 inch frying pan perfectly! Thank you for making one of the few "reasonably priced" and sturdy products on today's market.

  • The only fault I see with this product is the handle is too short to cover the cast iron tabs it is attached to, and can cause a burn on the hand, if the user is not careful. If the wood handle was extended to cover the tabs, as on other presses, it would eliminate this. Other than that, it works fine.

    I recommend this product.

  • Makes Bacon even Better

Love what this does to bacon, seems to make it taste even better. I cook in a cast iron grill skillet so the combination renders crispy, almost greaseless bacon.

  • Bacon Press?

First off, wrong size for bacon cooking (unless ya cut it down to fit under the press & then make sure no edges are sticking out to curl. Second the food stuck to the press. Might be good out on the grill for A hamburger or "a paper weight". Just my opinion. Rose (Mightyshopper)

  • Bacon Cooked the Right Way

My 13 year old son goes bonkers over bacon and is always asking me to cook some. I used to dred the job. Splattering grease and unevenly cooked Bacon. Since I received my bacon press, cooking bacon is a breeze. Now I am happy and my son gets more bacon.

  • Excellent tool!

We use the bacon press every time we cook bacon and we are very pleased with the way it works. The bacon stays flat as desired. Because of the size, we also use it when cooking burgers. They stay nice and flat! Clean up is very easy. We store ours in the oven. Too bad it is not available in local retail stores so you can save on shipping cost.

    I recommend this product.

  • Too Much Trouble

This bacon press requires that it be seasoned every time it is used. That is way too much trouble.

  • Works great!

I'd never used a bacon press until staying with friends in the Great Smokies. Then I knew I'd have to have one, but finding one was difficult. Cooking.com to the rescue again!! While not quite as heavy as the one I'd used in NC, this one is a great value for the money--and certainly does the job to fit my needs.

    I recommend this product.
