Too Much Trouble

by FRED, AR
March 29, 2009

This bacon press requires that it be seasoned every time it is used. That is way too much trouble.

The only fault I see with this product is the handle is too short to cover the cast iron tabs it is attached to, and can cause a burn on the hand, if the user is not careful. If the wood handle was extended to cover the tabs, as on other presses, it would eliminate this. Other than that, it works fine.

What can I say? I bought the cast iron double burner grill/griddle and cast iron skill. How could forget the grill press? Besides, it fits perfectly in my 10.5 inch skillet and works superb with the grill!

I am truely enjoying this...it keeps the bacon flat and makes it very crispy, which is the way we all like it..

My family was amazed at the difference a bacon press makes. It fits perfectly in the skillet and helps cut down on the splatter. Most of the grease is pressed out of the bacon which helps cut down on the fat intake. My wife had no idea how much grease was still in bacon after cooking it until we poured it off after using the press.

Round is better

I have had the rectangle presses before and they just never worked with the size frying pan I use but this one was the right size. It covers all the bacon at the same time.

I love this and my husband uses it to make sandwiches on the stove. The only thing I did not like was it seemed to rust quickly after I washed it. But once you care for it how the instructions say then it was ok again. It just seemed to rust very very fast

Makes Bacon even Better

by Kay, MO

Love what this does to bacon, seems to make it taste even better. I cook in a cast iron grill skillet so the combination renders crispy, almost greaseless bacon.

Il bought my Bacon Press over a year ago and liked it so much I got one for each of my children. It is a real bargain for the price and fits my 9 inch frying pan perfectly! Thank you for making one of the few "reasonably priced" and sturdy products on today's market.
