I have wanted a Asparagus steamer for years but could never afford to buy one because they were always so expensive. When I saw this one, I couldn't get it soon enough. I finally have a steamer that I can use for my asparagus and some other vegetables.

I love this product! I thought it was ridiculous for me to order this item since I cook for a living but thought it would be a nice birthday present to myself. I really like this steamer - alot!

Theoretically the basket should hold asparagus upright. My first usage was with small stalks, which protruded through the lower gap in the sides. I didn't have enough quantity to fill the basket, so they angled out the sides. Knowing this situation, I believe I can compensate for the next usage.
