After trying dozens of pie plates over the years, Mrs. Beranbaum decided to design her own ideal - the deep fluted edge serves as a mold to form a lovely scalloped crust that holds up well during baking and the plate is shaped to create an easy decorative border. Great plate!

I have seen these pie plates in magazines and I thought it was so pretty and functional. I won't have to make any more handmade flutes since the pattern is in the dish. I baked an apple pie and it turned out beautiful. Be sure to place foil around the edge of the top crust, otherwise it will cook too fast.

Almost too pretty to keep...

I ordered this pie plate thinking a pretty plate would help the taste of my pie!:) I'm not known for my baking skills but with this pie plate my pecan pie was gorgeous! When I opened the packaging the pretty, round, red and yellow box was almost too pretty to keep....almost! This pie plate would make a wonderful wedding gift along with your favorite pie recipe.

When I saw the pic for this pie plate and gift box I knew I wanted one; ordered extra ones to give as gifts. Absolutely loved them! I was not disappointed at all. Pie plate bakes a beautiful pie.
