Harold Import Company and Rose Levy Beranbaum introduce Rose's Perfect Pie Plate. Rose Beranbaum, author of The Cake Bible, The Pie & Pastry Bible and host of the PBS television series Baking Magic, has dedicated her life to baking pies and other sweet treats. After trying dozens of pie plates over the years, Mrs. Beranbaum decided to design her own ideal - the deep fluted edge serves as a mold to form a lovely scalloped crust that holds up well during baking and the plate is shaped to create an easy decorative border. Measuring a standard 9-in. with a 4-cup capacity, this fine-quality ceramic plate absorbs and distributes heat evenly to bake a crisper crust. This plate will warm any dessert table.

I have seen these pie plates in magazines and I thought it was so pretty and functional. I won't have to make any more handmade flutes since the pattern is in the dish. I baked an apple pie and it turned out beautiful. Be sure to place foil around the edge of the top crust, otherwise it will cook too fast.

I ordered this pie plate thinking a pretty plate would help the taste of my pie!:) I'm not known for my baking skills but with this pie plate my pecan pie was gorgeous! When I opened the packaging the pretty, round, red and yellow box was almost too pretty to keep....almost! This pie plate would make a wonderful wedding gift along with your favorite pie recipe.

When I saw the pic for this pie plate and gift box I knew I wanted one; ordered extra ones to give as gifts. Absolutely loved them! I was not disappointed at all. Pie plate bakes a beautiful pie.

I love this pie plate. However, none of my pie crust shields will fit this plate. So, unless I fight with aluminum foil to cover the crust, my crust always burns.

This pie dish has a very pretty edge and the red makes it really attractive when presented on the table. The only thing is I thought it was a deep dish and it isn't. It would be nicer if it was a deep dish,(thats why I rated it a 4) but am still satisified with it. Makes a great gift and comes with a nice storage box.

Very nice pie plate! Good thing that I wasn't planning on giving it as a gift in it's red and yellow gift box though as the box was all crumpled by the packing materials.
