I don't know where you acquired the title "cheesecake pan", for these items, but it's no problem.. I have enjoyed using these pans specifically because of the "push-up bottoms".. This is easier to work vwith than a regular 9 x 13 oblong.. I prefer to cook with cast aluminum--no concerns about chipped coating in the finished products. No concerns with a "tinny aftertaste" in some of my baked products.. I love all of my push-bottom pans, and I'm completely satisfied with the purchase.. I do, and will continue to suggest that cooks get rid of those P.I.T.A. springform form pans and get the best, for what I consider to be the "best results" in baking..

No more metal taste in my cheesecakes, bakes evenly, easy to remove and it'll last forever (no rusting). Awesome, I love it!!!!!!

Quality

I ordered the 9" and the 10" pans and received both quickly. Also, both pans were of professional quality and work great. I would highly recommend to anyone who is serious about making cheesecakes. I have used springform pans in the past, but these pans bakes more evenly and the release after baking was great.

Having recently gotten a cookbook of nothing but cheesecake recipes, I really needed to purchase another springform pan. I got this instead and REALLY enjoy using it. My cheesecakes have less cracking with this pan than my springform and they seem to be lighter and fluffier. The price was a good value as well. I would highly recommend this product to others.

Great pan

This pan evenly heats cheesecakes so the tops are flat and just browned on the edges. I've used a few different styles and materials over the years and this one works the best.

A fine cheesecake pan!

I think it would be hard to find a better pan than this one, and would prefer it to any springform pan for making cheesecake. It has that great made-in-America quality that is getting harder to find lately. Its sturdy aluminum construction provides even heat, it's a snap to remove the cheesecake after chilling without damaging the crust (just slide it up and out) and it is easy to clean, not having all the extra little crevices that the springform types have. I would strongly recommend this pan.

Cheesecake Ease

As soon as I picked up the pan, I could feel the quality. It is made of heavy duty aluminum. I liked not having to fuss with locking the base in place like in my springform pan. Removing the cheesecake was easy, and because you slide it out, the sides of the cake are slightly smoothed and not as irregular as with the springform.

A must for any cheesecake baker

This is so much better than the springform pans for making cheesecakes!!! The bottom pushes right out making removal of cheesecake so easy!

I was disappointed that the pans were not tapered to fit inside one another for storage. Other than that they are wonderful.

Cooks well

I used this pan to make cheesecake and it baked very well. My family thought is was from the store. It cooked very evenly and had a wonderful texture.

This is an awesome cheesecake pan! It is so easy to remove your cheescake. I have read that other use it for regular cakes...I'll have to try that too!

Good value

I purchased this pan for cheesecakes. It worked well, did not leak, and baked evenly. You can make one very high, heavy cake in this baby! The bottom did stain but I'm sure that it's performance won't be affected. Great price for a keeper.

Cheesecake caveat

While the removable bottom is essential for a cheesecake, the mechanics are rather tricky. Use of parchment paper is problematic if you're trying to extend the paper beyond the circumferance of the pan bottom for easy removal and transfer to a serving plate. Having a tall-enough, sturdy-enough "tee" to facilitate removal of the cake/cheesecake from the 3" tall round is also essential.
Once these challenges are met, it will be good tool for the job.

Great Cheesecake Pan

This pan works great, I warm my stovetop burner for about 1 minute, turn off - set the cheesecake on warm burner for about 30 seconds and the cake comes out easily.

I watched a TV show demonstrating the use of this item. That show enlightened me to the potential of this product. I used the pan to bake and then assemble a multi-level desert that looked like it came from an expensive bakery. I cannot wait to make wedding cakes and other deserts. this pan and my imagination are going places!

GREAT PAN

My original pan is starting to leak after 20 something years so I wanted to get a back up before I totally lost it. So I have been looking for this pan for a couple of years now and very happy to have found it.
