| Many holidays are steeped in tradition and Easter is no exception. With this classic menu, you can easily add or omit any dish that's not one of your family's favorites. For instance, if you like asparagus but aren't crazy about bread pudding, steam or roast the asparagus and garnish with threads of lemon zest, sea salt and coarsely ground black pepper.
The focal point of the menu is a boneless baked ham. Served with it, a sweet pineapple brown sugar sauce with hints of soy sauce and mustard. Our asparagus bread pudding is made with cubes of lightly toasted bread, asparagus and leeks, mixed fresh herbs and two kinds of cheese, Fontina and Gruyere. It's a sumptuous side dish that can be made with any number of vegetables like broccoli or artichokes.
Mixed vegetables(zucchini, eggplant, bell peppers, carrots and Brussels sprouts) are steamed over a pot of water infused with dried herbs (basil, sage and oregano). Once plated, thery're served with an easy-to-make Hollandaise sauce. Golden, crispy and airy, our herbed popovers are spread with sweet butter or a whipped, green onion cream cheese. Just arriving at your local market, sweet strawberries and tangy rhubarb pair for a delightful dessert. The top crust is sprinkled with crushed sugar then decoratively pierced. |
