If this soup made no claim to being Mozart's favorite, I'd have rated it a 5 and made it again. however, the catfish is *American*, not European, so the recipe is inauthentic for its claims. I'd have believed carp, and will consider making it again whenever I can find fresh carp.

Mozart, who lived in Salzburg, Austria, no way ate carfish. He most assuredly ate carp as well as other central European riverine fish.

I am *very* disappointed in Doubleday for printing a cookbook with something so totally lacking in verosimilitude and it makes me highly suspicious of anything else they do.
