Delicious
I have always wanted to try shrimp and grits. I added green onions to the shrimp and it would be good in the grits, too. But how in the world could 2 cups of dry grits amount to 4 servings? We have lots of leftovers for breakfast. I would half the grits.

Forget the pork and keep it clean.
This recipe is ok but leave out the bacon. It destoys the taste of the shrimp. So many shrimp and grits recipes either use pork or chicken stock. Why mix pork and seafood or chicken and seafood? If you want the true taste of the shrimp, then just use the shrimp. Now if you really want to change this around a little, try using Indian spices. Yes, really. After you saute the onion and celery, both finely chopped, add vegetable stock. Then add garam masala, ginger, white pepper. Try it!

Shrimp and Grits
I found that I adjusted the salt to 1/2 and used a little larger shrimp with pleasant compliments from my guest. Next time I am going to make a larger portion so that I will have a little more for the next day
