Cheddar Chive Biscuits

Yield:  Serves 10 to 12
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups unbleached organic flour
1/2 cup organic wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup chives, diced
1 stick unsalted Henry's butter
3/4 cup Henry's milk
paprika
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, sift together the flours, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir in the cheese, garlic and chives.


With a pastry blender, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Stir in the milk and fold together until just incorporated. Do not over mix.


Using a tablespoon drop biscuits onto a cookie sheet. Sprinkle with paprika.


Bake at 375 degrees F for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot from the oven.
