How much almond ex. in the cake versus the glaze?
My issue w/this recipe was not that there was an awful lot of almond extract, but that I put it all in the cake before reading that I should have been putting some in the glaze. It does not say how much should go in the cake & how much should go in the glaze. Nor did it tell you how much powdered sugar/milk in the glaze. I didn't have 3 Tbsps, so I ended up with a little over 2 Tbsps in the cake & don't think it was too much. I ended up skipping the glaze for fear it would be too almondy.

Sour cream almond pound
I was very disappointed in this cake. It took over 3 hours too cook very dense too doughy. The top of cake was the best part and it had a good flavor. But overall not worth making

I love almond flavoring, however, I question 3 tablespoons for a cake. Almond can be bitter.

"3 table almond extract"...Questionable!!
I hope, if you made this recipe, you misread the qty. of almond extract and 'read' teasp.--even that amount is too much. A 1-oz bottle of almond extract contains 2 tablespoons; that means this recipe uses 1 and 1/2 bottles!! On my check of other Almond... recipes, I found 6 using: 1/2 teasp. each of almond and orange extracts, and 1 using: 1 teasp. each of almond and vanilla. If you don't like separating the eggs, go to Paula Deen's recipe. Cooking.com--edit your recipes BEFORE publishing!

Great, EZ to make...just a slight modification
Great cake, moist and quick to make using a stand mixer for the batter and a hnd mixer for the egg whites.
