Very complex
I'm sure this is delicious, but the procedure is way to involved and time consuming--even to prepare part way the day before.

Awful!!
I made this french toast casserole with my grandaughter because it was simple and she's a beginning baker. The taste was terrible! Very bland and 'bready'. I would not make this again. Very disappointing...

Delicious! Also convenient!
This works for me -- easy to prepare, great to do the night ahead if you have house guests as we often do. As for the reviewer who said it had "too much bread" to be French toast . . . that's what French toast essentially is, I think. Anyway, I love it.
