Amazingly delicious and the best part of all, it's easy. My husband is a picky eater, but he liked it.

Did something wrong
I must have done something wrong, even though I followed the recipe to the letter. The dough was much too runny to roll into balls. Right now I have it in the frig waiting for it to firm up enough. Hope it works otherwise I'll make drop cookies and sprinkle sugar on top.

great cookie
I loved this cookie. I didn't want to spend the extra bucks for the turbinado so I used a raw mexican sugar which is very similar to turbinado and half the price. I didn't have whole wheat pastry flour so I ran my organic ww flour thru the food processor giving it a finer texter. My Molasses was a mild un sulphured kind, which allowed my heaping 1 1/2 tsp. of ginger to shine through. I will make this again!

Really like this...but
I am working on this recipe...I would like this to have more of a ginger punch so I am still working with this recipe. I like to bake until crunchy. I am not really sure about the canolla oil since there is that faint oil flavor I caan't seem to cover. Any suggestions out there? I have used dry ground ginger and fresh...still could improve.

Easy and Delicious
This is an easy and delicious ginger cookie recipe. It had a great chewy texture and the turbinado sugar makes it very pretty. I agree the ginger taste is masked by the molasses. I will make this again with more ground ginger as well as adding crystalized ginger. I'll repost if that is successful.

The Ginger Cookies were delicious and simple to make, but I feel the 4 tbsps of Molasses completely over whelmed the Ginger. I love Ginger but could not taste it in this recipe. I will try the recipe again and only use 2 tbsps of Molasses and increase the Ginger. These cookies were perfect when baked for 10 mins chewy inside and just a little crispy outside. They looked and tasted delicious!! This is a keeper?

Good Holiday Cookie
This is an easy to make healthy cookie. It is chewey with a crunchy sugar coating. Don't let the term "turbinado sugar" scare you. All it is, is raw sugar. You've seen it in the grocery store--named Hawiian sugar, or raw sugar--it's course and light brown color. You can find whole wheat pastry flour in the "bulk" section of most grocery stores. This recipe is worth finding the special ingredients.
