THIS IS A MUST TRY RECIPE !
I made this dish tonight,I had a hard time finding the black rice,but I finally did at Nugget Market,anyway,this is a MUST TRY recipe ! it was amazing,so good ! the grilled pineapple slices couldn't be better,the spiced coconut milk sauce was absolutely perfect ! I had never had black rice before,I'm hooked now ! I chunked up pieces of ham to add to the plate and that was really a great taste.I scooped the rice & ham & pineapple on the plate and generously drizzled the coconut sauce over it all

Not Appealing
The appearance/presentation of this recipe is enough to stop me from keeping it. I think people make too much of a big deal about "presentation," but this simply lacks ANY appealing appearance on the plate.

I have made this recipe twice and am going to make it again. I made it twice for a Sunday Night Bible Group. I will be making it again for a class celebration for completing a writing course at college. The times I made it for the Sunday Night Bible class they all loved it. The only problem I had was not able to make the cakes with the rice so I made it in a square cake pan and put the grilled pineapples on top and then drizzled the coconut milk over the top.
