Very Good
The recipt is very good. Made it for my mother and father inlaw and they like very much. Although I did not like the frosting it was not sweet enough for me. Should be more sugar in it.

Reminded me of Carrot Cake
This cake was pretty good, but doesn't have a lot of banana taste. Mine turned out darker than the photo and the spices gave it a nice flavor but overpowered the banana. I accidentally used 8" pans and my cake never rose in the center but was still good. Mine turned out quite dense. For the frosting I did not have coconut extract so I added some coconut to the frosting. I found the frosting not sweet enough for my taste and ended up adding more confectioners sugar, traditional style.

Bananas
Donna, The recipe shows 1 cup (2 large) mashed bananas. Perhaps you missed it or it was corrected after you read it. It sounds yummy and I'm going to try it. My husband loves banana cake!

Good, but I got a C for following directions
I made this cake for my family this weekend. My wife wanted to cut into the night I baked the cake it smelled so good. I told her she had to wait until I iced the following day. Didn't have whole-wheat pastry flour, so sub'ed regular whole-wheat. May have been too heavy since came out a little flat. Cake had good spice flavor, but not much banana flavor. Could have used more frosting. Recipe called for 1 1/2 blocks of cream cheese could simply used both and maybe some more sugar.

Banana Cake with no bananas?
I thought this recipe looked great except when I looked at the ingredients there are no bananas! How will it have a banana flavor? I don't feel good about this one.
