WARNING! This is the most bland cake ever!
I made this for Easter and ended up feeding it to my chickens. It was awful, tasteless & bland. My husband wouldn't even eat it & he will eat anything. Save the time, money & effort!

FRUIT PUREE FAT REPLACEMENT
Very good recipe, but I prefer using butter. It has a much richer taste. Suzanne, there are products on the market for use in reducing fat, but 1C of applesauce will work very well.

I haven't made the recipe, but I wanted to answer the question. I have used applesauce as a fat replacement before. So in this case it looks like you would use 1 cup applesauce. Good luck!
