Really, really good
This recipe is excellent. I've made it twice already and my Mom even asked for the recipe! I don't have chicken broth so I used a bullion cube in 1/2 cup of hot water. You can never have too much garlic, so feel free to add more. You can partially peel the potatoes (instead of completely) if you want to have some skins. I also made a version where I added sausage and bacon, both cooked in advance. I mixed it in but you could layer it. I also put shredded cheese as a middle layer.

Great for holiday dinners!
This recipe not only tastes delicious but can be made ahead. It was always chaotic making mashed potatoes at the end of dinner preparation along with making the gravy. We took it with us to Thanksgiving dinner at relatives and it worked out super. A definite must for holiday meals!
