Great recipe
I used the recipe to make cookies instead of donuts and they came out wonderful. I did use half the sugar called for in the original recipe, fresh pumpkin and cinnamon and they were a hit with my kids. I did not glaze them.

To "Ardis" - Pumpkin Pie Spice
1. If the spice mix isn't home made but is in a closed can, you can certainly keep it more than six months. Otherwise store in the fridge away from light.

Good but...
Good flavor and texture but it seems more like a cookie than a donut. Also, a cream cheese glaze is better than the sugar glaze. Worth the try.

Good, but needed more pumpkin flavor.
Definitely a hit at my house. Next time I will use more than a 1/2 cup pumpkin.

In refrence to Ardis review
You asked what size can of pumpkin? The recipe clearly states 1/2 cup of pumpkin. As for the amounts to use to make your own pumpkin pie spice. All you have to do is search for the ingredients and that will give you the amounts to make your own. Measure 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon into a small bowl or cup. Add 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger. Add 1/8 teaspoon of ground allspice or ground cloves. Add 1/8 teaspoon of ground nutmeg. Stir to blend. Makes 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie sp

To Ardis
The recipe calls for 1/2 cup of canned pumpkin. As for the pumpkin pie spice, I assume the person who made this recipe is fine with using ready made pumpkin pie spice. If you prefer to make it homemade that is fine, there are many recipes for it with a quick google. I plan on making this recipe soon and can't wait to try it. Will come back with an actual rating <3

Size
What SIZE can of pumpkin???? Also what's with "pumpkin pie spice"? How about saying how much cinnamon, cloves, ginger et al. should be used? I don't keep pumpkin pie spice around because according to all the "experts" spices shouldn't be kept more than 6 mos -- how many pumpkin pies is anyone going to cook in their home in 6 mos?

Great recipe for Halloween Playdate!
GREAT donuts! I had been searching for a baked donut recipe for some time now, and was thrilled to find this recipe. We served several batches of these at a Halloween playdate for 10 toddlers and their moms and they were GOBBLED up! Very light donut with subtle flavors (unlike what you'll find at donut shops.) This is the way a donut *should* taste! We have also made this recipe, using vegan ingredients without any problems. I have shared this recipe with all of my friends!

Good texture, average flavor
These doughnuts are somewhat bland (and not very pleasing in color) when prepared according to the recipe. However, they are excellent when deep fried and sprinkled with powdered sugar (instead of glazed). Either way, the dough is moist, and the pumpkin flavor is nice.
