Swedish Meatballs
Where's the rest of the directions? Stops at browning the meatballs, what's next?

I'm Not Swedish
Even though I am not Swedish, I know this is not Swedish Meatballs. Where is the sauce, lingonberry jam, allspice?

OMG
I'm not Swedish...just an old Southern (US) boy always looking for good ways to do ground meats. This recipe is the same as a "sausage ball" recipe that always pops up at some of our "functions". (sombody got the less-than-bright idea to sub ground beef...but why call it "Swedish meatballs") You might want to try the "sausage" it's quite good with a sweet/sour mustard dip or just plain mustard. Still...LMAO I try not to be offended by stupidity.

Nothing Swedish about this recipe
I am from a Swedish family in Minnesota. The recipe has none of the familar ingredients like All Spice and a topping of lignon berry sauce. I am suprised that the editors listed this particular recipe as Swedish Meatballs.

How in Guds namn are these Swedish Meatballs?
Seriously? This is as bad as Rachael Ray's 'recipe' for 'late night bacon' (cook bacon!) These are just little nuggets of plain meat. Where's the Sauce? Where's the spices? FAIL. EPIC FAIL. Swedish meatballs should use ground chuck and pork, or veal and pork... the meat should be whipped to redistribute the fat and make them 'springy' - look elsewhere

Bland Boring Balls of Meat should be the title
I agree with the above. Being of Scandinavian origin, graduating with honors from the CIA Hyde Park, and cooking for several Scandinavian clubs. I laugh! Who is responsible for this? They should be fired for misleading Americans. Shame on Doubleday and Cooking.com editors for publishing without checking any quality Scandinavian Cookbook. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth....

Consistency is good. Very juicy, but a little bland to my taste. So I added cumin and garam masala to taste, but then again I like my food a bit spicy. Next time I'll try garlic with dill and/or basil; should also taste nice. This recipe still gets three full cups from me!!

Disappointed
I was very disappointed when I came to this recipe. I was hoping to find the sauce that finishs the dish, not just the meatball.
