Perfect desert bars
I have made these bars several times and will keep making them as one of my favorite recipes. I used chopped pecans instead of macadamia nuts and they were perfect. The basic recipe will lend itself to many different fruits. Next time I will try fresh peaches......mmmm peaches and cream!

Is this an old family recipe? .... they assumed.
I woke up dreaming of this dessert, that I had to have it for breakfast! All my friends keep asking when I will make them again.... it's a keeper!

Wow!
Ok, so it's become tradition that on Christmas Eve, the men do all of the cooking, and we've made it a contest. So the hunt is on, every December, for the best recipes. I LOVE to bake, and this dessert sounded interesting. I haven't served it yet tonight, but all I can say is that this IS a winner, whether or not I claim 1st place! It's really delicious...a bit on the sweet side, so if you're not into really rich desserts, you may wish to lessen the sugar. I can't wait to serve it!! AWESOME!

I won a first place award with this recipe
This recipe is the most delicious recipe I have made in years.I did add a little more vanilla and more nuts, though.I entered this into our local newspaper cooking contest and won first place in Cookies and Candies. It is just delicious. Even pear haters loved this one. I also think that apples, mandarin oranges, and figs could be substituted for the pears.

Custard ? More like cheesecake.
Sounds good, but sounds more like cheesecake than custard, which would be milk and eggs.
