Sour cream is an old standby in potato salad

This recipe sounds OK. Sour cream and yogurt are used all the time in cold salads. I use them myself. Sour cream is not "sour", neither is yogurt. They actually mellow out any sharpness of other ingredients.

I haven't tried this recipe, but it really sounds terrible. It sounds like it would taste sour even before it sat in the hot sun and developed food poisoning. Yogart and sour cream! Yeck!
