Cooking time is off
The center of my cake was gooey, so I put it back 5 more mins, still gooey. I think this needs about an hour to cook, not 30 mins! Or perhaps the measurements of ingredients are wrong, perhaps too much buttermilk? The batter was very thin. If thicker, it might have baked better? I just don't know. I used guava in the can b/c it is a lot like peaches and that's what I had. I just wasn't happy with the results.

I've made this several times. It is wonderful as a dessert or a breakfast "coffee cake". I've added spices such as nutmeg or lemon peel to enhance the flavor. No one knows that the cake is made from canned peaches.
