Made this last night for a casual summer dinner party. It was a hit! Will absolutely make it again and again. Want to try it with other berries such as strawberries and want to try the crust with a short bread cookie.

Intense flavor & fragrance - don't make my errors
Intense flavor and fragrance! Very colorful. Will make this one again!.. with a couple changes. The local store had gorgeous blueberries and raspberries, but only aluminum disposable pie pans. Bad idea, the crust crumbled into a mess. Use glass. Also, next time, I'll dry the raspberries thoroughly. They held too much water which made the berry topping weepy. I skipped the whipped cream. The jammy puree had great texture and exceptional flavor. Wow!

Best fruit pie ever!
I have made this pie many times, and it always disappears immediately. It really makes only 6 good-size servings, not 8-10. For more than 6, I double the recipe and use a 9 x 13 dish, like another reviewer. Also, I find that the raspberries get too mushy, and so I use strawberries instead.

my favorite berry pie recipe ever!!
I've made this recipe a few times now for dinner parties and it's been a big hit each time. The second time around I used frozen mixed berries for the base, just to save money as fresh berries can be expensive. I use fresh for the topping. I've also doubled the recipe and made it in a glass 9x13 pan for my bigger dinners. It's by far my favorite berry pie recipe I've tried.

Won Pie Contest!!
This pie was great for summertime. I substituted strawberries for the raspberries and blackberries because the store didn't have rasp and blackberries in season. Strawberries and blueberries worked very well with this pie. I even won my neighborhood annual pie competition with this pie. Topped with cool whip and used store bought graham cracker crust to save time on prep. Definitely a winner!!
