Can't wait to try this
This can be made without a grill. I have a recipe similar that requires a deboned chicken to be browned first on the stove on both sides until golden brown, then finished cooking in a 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes (or until juices are clear). Will make this on my Weber charcoal grill like I do the beer chicken.

grilled whole chicken
What is the recommendation for cooking this chicken in an oven. I do not have a grill and do not plan to get one. The recipe looks sooooo good

Using Charcoal..
If anyone has a Brinkman style smoker, use your own judgement,I had to add as I went along, light your guesstimated charcoal in the bottom, when all gray,Place your Rack,ON the TOP most rung, and slow grill your chicken that way. Takes 1.5 -2 plus hours, but is it ever Yummy. There are tons of organisations un the western MD area that have fashioned Huge Chicken grill, where the chicken is grilled 2-3 feet above the Heat source. Another flavorizer tip, spritz with clear Vinegar periodically.

Very good chicken!
Here's another very good Rick Bayless recipe that I have made a number of times. You can't go wrong if you use the types of ingredients the recipe calls for and follow the directions. I have one friend that is allergic to oranges (can you imagine?!), so I have substituted 2 tablespoons of lemon juice for the 1/4 cup of orange juice a few times, and it comes out just fine. Give this one a try and I think you will be pleasantly pleased!
