Great foundation for variations!
First time I made this, I halved the sugar; second, I substituted 1 tsp. honey, thinned with garlic rice vinegar: excellent both ways! I've also added some wasabi, in either powdered or sauce form, and a touch of soy sauce, to spark it up a bit: also good. Adding shredded celery, lettuce, a/o broccoli makes it go farther. In all, this recipe lends itself to all sorts of possibilities, which is exactly what a good recipe should!

Question?
In the photo there is something pink in the slaw.... thinly sliced red onion perhaps? But what ever it is isn't listed in the ingredients. So....?? What's the rest of the recipe? Perhaps you typed scallions when you intended to list shallots? I gave you 5 because I haven't tried this but it sounds good.

Delicious Bok Choy Slaw!
This slaw was absolutely refreshing! I served it with grilled rainbow trout and swordfish steak. I added some sliced toasted almonds to add more crunch. The dressing is one that I can see myself using for other salads and slaws.
