RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups yellow cornmeal
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup whole milk
1 large egg
3 tablespoons canola oil
Other necessary recipes:
Oyster Corn Bread Dressing
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Position rack in center of oven. Butter 9-inch-diameter cake pan with 2-inch-high sides. Combine dry ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside. Whisk milk, egg and oil in medium bowl. Stir in dry ingredients. Transfer mixture to prepared pan. Bake for about 25 minutes. Remove from oven and place on rack to cool.
