Yield:
Makes about 3 dozen cookies
In the Western world, the food with the most magical, famous, and elaborate history as an aphrodisiac is chocolate.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
2 large eggs, hard-boiled
8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped, melted
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
Powdered sugar
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Butter and flour large baking sheet. Discard the white of one of the eggs. Press the whole egg and egg yolk through fine strainer. Set aside.
Using electric mixer, beat butter and sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy. Add the melted chocolate and beat until smooth. Stir in the flour and eggs (dough will be firm).
Spoon the dough onto prepared baking sheet, forming smooth, 1-inch-wide mounds. Bake until cookies are puffed and cracked, about 18 minutes. Cool cookies completely. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
