Orange and Grand Marnier Shortcakes

Spike fresh oranges with a splash of Grand Marnier for a sophisticated shortcake. A few shavings of bitter chocolate add contrasting color and flavor.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
2 teaspoons grated orange zest
5 oranges, peeled and sectioned, with their juice, soaked in 1/3 cup Grand Marnier liqueur, and sprinkled with 1/4 cup light brown sugar
Grated bitter chocolate
Basic Shortcakes (see recipe)

DIRECTIONS
Add the orange zest to the basic biscuit dough. Assemble the shortcakes as directed in the text and sprinkle with the bitter chocolate.
