Active Time:  10 Minutes
Total Time:  55 Minutes
Yield:  6 servings
You can serve this right out of the oven and it will be souffle like.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
4-5 slices buttered bread
1 lb sausage, or hot sausage
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 cups grated tangy cheese, sharp, pepper jack
3-4 eggs
2 cups milk
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 tablespoon horseradish (optional)
1 Tablespoon Worchestershire sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
DIRECTIONS
Pre heat oven to 450 degrees.

Butter casserole.

Butter bread, stack & cut into cubes. Seperate cubes with fork.

Brown sausage and onions drain off grease.

Whip eggs with fork, to add volume.

Add milk to eggs, mustard, worchestershire sauce, horseradish, salt and pepper.

Put buttered bread cubes in large bowl.

Pour Egg, milk, mustard, worchestershire sauce, salt and pepper mixture over bread cubes. Mix.

Pour into buttered casserole dish. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes, reduce oven temperature to 350 and continue to bake for 30 minutes.

I like to make this in a large pie pan and cut it into pie shaped wedges, but any casserole pan will do. Whatever casserole dish you use it should be big enough for the mixture to be 2 inches high in pan.

Serves 6-8
