Coffee-Dusted Ice Cream

  Makes 8 servings
1 quart vanilla ice cream
8 heaping tablespoons finely ground dark roast or espresso coffee beans (see Note)
8 tablespoons Scotch whiskey or fruit juice
Place two big scoops of ice cream in to eight glasses or serving bowls.

Sprinkle 1 heaping tablespoon of ground coffee over the ice cream in each dish.

Pour 1 tablespoon of Scotch on top of each and serve.

NOTE: You can make powdered espresso by pulverizing coffee beans in a coffee mill or blender. Or you can use instant espresso coffee powder.
