Anolon

Since introducing its non-stick pots and pans, Anolon has kept an eye to evolving both its product lines and its world view as a company. The brand continues to develop increasingly user-friendly, ergonomically correct cookware to help cooks up the "wow" factor in the kitchen. Its pots, pans and other non-stick items allow consumers to make restaurant-quality foods at home that are equally healthy and great-tasting.

At the same time, Anolon's corporate mission is constantly shaped by ecology and related movements that affect both its customer base and the world at large. Anolon believes that cooking at home allows families to share quality time while enjoying healthy, delicious food together. Using Anolon cookware to craft amazing dishes from fresh, local ingredients also removes unhealthy processed foods from the dinnertime equation.

Cooking fresh local fare at home with Anolon cookware benefits families' mental and physical well-being, but also has less obvious advantages. Making meals from food bought at the farmers' market or directly from local farms supports the local economy. It also lessens the impact of food transportation on the environment by drastically reducing the distance between farm and table.

It's easy to see how Anolon products promote personal health. Their reliable non-stick coating have allowed cooks to use significantly fewer fats in cooking over the years. However, Anolon knows health isn't just about the food on your plate at the moment. Promoting the slow food and local food movements helps to improve the future of agriculture by supporting sustainable farming practices and eco-friendly food trends.

From their first exceptionally durable nonstick saute pans and pots, introduced in 1989, Anolon cookware has focused their efforts on outfitting the serious home cook with professional quality products. Their hard-anodized surface and tough nonstick coating was the basis for great success, bolstered by the addition of Sure Grip handles in 2003.

Along with the toughest of nonstick surfaces by Dupont's Autograph, the restaurant-tested Anolon Advanced collection includes break-resistant, dome-shaped glass lids that allow you to peek at your progress without allowing heat or moisture to escape. The ergonomic, comfortable, Sure Grip handles are made of stainless steel and silicone rubber, and all is oven safe to 400 degrees F. Also in the Advanced series is the Anolon bronze collection. From tapered stockpots to grill pans, you can enjoy the sophisticated look of the outer bronze coating and color-coordinated handles.

The Nouvelle Copper series is Anolon's latest collection, featuring an aluminum core encapsulated with copper with the Autograph 2 Nonstick interior for superbly even heat distribution and easy cleaning. Their stainless steel lids fit securely and the stainless steel handles are smoothly flush-riveted to each pan. While these pans do not feature the Sure Grip handles, the advantage is that they are oven safe to 500 degrees F.

Also worth a look, the Anolon Advanced Collection knives are set to impress with Japanese high carbon stainless steel that's heat-treated and ice-hardened for a stronger blade that keeps its edge longer. The Sure Grip handles step up the handling and comfort factor for confident slicing and dicing.
