Took me a while to figure out how to use it and to get it adjusted, but I got it working and peeled my apples with it. Heavy and well built.

I really, really like this product. All settings are adjustable, and it peels, cores and slices easily. It took a few minutes (and two apples) to determine exactly how I wanted the settings, then I whpped out the rest of the apples for my crisp with ease. I had one for almost 20 years, and it finally gave up the ghost, and the new one I just bought is a must-have for anyone who likes to cook dishes with apples. It is also very handy for peeling potatoes for a big, comforting batch of mashed potatoes. GET ONE, NOW!

I was so happy to see this product offered by Food Network! I own a Back to Basics Peeler I got years ago from a different retailer. That company doesn't carry it anymore and I wanted to give it as a gift for Christmas. I bought others from kitchen stores in my area but they were all inferior to what I owned. Very poor metals and components. I ordered this one from Food Network not knowing exactly how it compared to what I have. To my delight, it was exactly what I have! Wow! It made my holiday. To be able to give a gift such as this, with a great value and super quality, was IT for me! I'm happy:)
