Mario Batali Sauces are crafted from Cherry Tomatoes from Italy and San Marzano Italian plum tomatoes from the Sarnese-Nocerino area in Italy, and are purely produced with all fresh chopped onions and fresh garlic. They are made with all fresh herbs and spices - no paste or puree added, and are made exclusively in a green facility.
In an effort to honor his commitment to both good food and green living, Mario is thrilled to announce that this sauce will be produced at Summer Garden Foods' green facility. Certified as organic and environmentally friendly by both state and national organization, Chef Batali and Summer Garden Foods is an ideal partnership having shared philosophies regarding the creation of food products.

All you could taste was red pepper

This sauce was like eating red pepper straight from the jar. I had to mix it with their other bland sauce "Tomatoe & Basil" just to make it edible. I had purchased the set of 4 sauces thinking it would be as wonderful as Mario Batali's "Sweet Garlic & Toasted Fennel" sauce which was discontinued several year ago. If they brought "Sweet Garlic and Toasted Fennel" sauce back, I would buy it by the case.

I have been looking for this sauce for about a year. It was at one time carried by Whole Foods. Very spicy!! Nice chunks of tomatoes, but a bit watery, possibly for the pallette of those who want a less ANGRY sauce. I recommend that it be cooked down to make it thicker.

THE USE OF ALL NATURAL INGREDIENTS CAN BE READILY EXPERIENCED IN MARIOS ARRABIATA SAUCE, THE FLAVORS ARE EXCELLENT AND NICE AND SPICY FOR ANY SHAPE OF PASTA. THE SAUCE IS SLIGHTLY THICK SO THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH IT COVERING THE PASTA WELL. I HAVE ALSO USED IT FOR A MEATBALL MARINARA SUBMARINE SANDWICH TOPPED WITH SMOKY PROVLONE CHEESE. ENJOY !

I had to resort to ordering this item online since none of the grocery chains carries it now. It sure would be nice that they would for this sauce has the best flavor.
